Hi,
I am relocating back to the US, and doing my househunting from the web. I am very grateful for the Redfin site with all the information you provide. I have a few questions about terms I have seen, and hope folks on the message board can help me out...
What does the below mean on the Redfin listings?
- Country Kitchen (kitchen and dining room dimensions are given in the descriptions, but the Dining Room has a bullet saying "Country Kitchen.") I am trying to determine if there is a separate dining room and an eat-in kitchen or just one big dining area.
- Seller Disclosure: Property
- Disclosures: LBP (How do i find out if it is paint, soil, etc?)
| Oct 05, 2011 | Delisted | * | -- | Inactive Oodle #1 (What is delisted?) |
- Chimmney - If I see a chimmney on one of the overhead photos, does that mean there is fireplace? Could one be put in? No information is listed about a fireplace in the house description, nor are there any photos...
- List Price vs Sell Price - can you make any generalizations for the Multnomah/Clackamas county markets?
Thanks so much!

From a RE Investor and Licensed Agent
- Seller Disclosure: Property = there are many disclosures that will be provided about the property in a form from the listing agent. A cop-out general term so they don't have to type it into the listing. Not helpful.
- Disclosures: LBP = Lead Based Paint. All houses built before 1978 will have this form as a warning. Again a general requirement and doesn't mean the house is contaminated (but indicates lead may be in the paint of houses during that era).
- Delisted = the house didn't sell, the price changed, went off the market. As opposed to LIsted or Re-Listed on the MLS.
Good luck with the others
