'Shadow REO': As Many as 90% of Foreclosed Properties Held Off the Market

This is why housing inventory is so tight all across the nation.  Everyone is falling for their tricks.  We have much more downside to home prices coming.

there is no significant amounts of shadow inventory coming up.  It was all bought up by hedge funds and investors in large numbers before it ever hit the market.

Re: 'Shadow REO': As Many as 90% of Foreclosed Properties Held Off the Market

"Shadow inventory" has been the primary fodder of doom & gloom bloggers for the past 5 years, as they've continuously warned us of that impending Tsunami of foreclosures just over the horizon.

They never appeared, and likely never will - not to any extent that would adversely affect our local market.

All this, of course, is merely MY opinion. Thanks for reading.

While the tsunami does not exist, shadow inventory does.

Re: 'Shadow REO': As Many as 90% of Foreclosed Properties Held Off the Market

"These battles sound incredible to us. I think that posterity will doubt if such things ever were,--if our bold ancestors who settled this land were not struggling rather with the forest shadows, and not with a copper-colored race of men. They were vapors, fever and ague of the unsettled woods. Now, only a few arrowheads are turned up by the plow. In the Pelasgic, the Etruscan, or the British story, there is nothing so shadowy and unreal."

Henry David Thoreau

All this, of course, is merely MY opinion. Thanks for reading.
