DEADBEATS!

There'll all over the freaking place.

The last 5 short sales I went to see all had one thing in common; several of the bedrooms had DOUBLE LOCKS on the doors, indicating that they were RENTED OUT to individuals. In fact in two of those houses we were unable to see several bedrooms because the doors to them were locked and we were told that 'sorry, the person is out'.

My next door neighbor (I rent a 3bd/2 bth house in Anaheim) at one point had about 12 (TWELVE!) cars scattered all over our street due to the amount of people he was renting-out rooms to. I quickly put an end to THAT by reporting him to Code Enforcement. They found that the POS had built even MORE rooms inside by dividing-up the pre-existing ones. He had even illegally converted his garage. This man bought at the peak of the market and paid $570K for his property DESPITE the fact that he and his very, very, very extensive family are all apparently DAY LABORERS!

I can still remember a time BEFORE all this mortgage fraud and deadbeat buying when you could practically COUNT on escaping such unhealthy living conditions by simply moving to a SF house given that these low-quality people were naturally limited by income to living in APARTMENTS. And BTW, I say 'low-quality' NOT because they don't have money but rather because they don't have any MANNERS; here in Orange County we DON'T normally throw used diapers on the street, or park 7 cars on the front lawn, or blast an entire 7-block radius with obnoxious 'music', or drunkingly urinate in other people's gardens. At least we never USED to.

But NOW -just like a cancer- these RIFF-RAFF have  metastasized. They're EVERYWHERE. Can you imagine spending HALF A MILLION DOLLARS on a property only to discover that these SLOBS are your new neighbors?

I sure as hell can't!

"To which countries are you planning to emigrate?"

Argentina is one. I already own a little house there in Buenos Aires which I'm currently renting out. Uruguay is another candidate. I'm also considering New Zealand and Spain.

When I bought my house in Argentina I paid the escribano who completed the transaction about $3K U.S. dollars in commission. In Argentina real estate transactions are charged a FLAT FEE regardless of the sales price.

As it SHOULD be!.
