Hi Everyone, I'm looking to see if anyone can recommend a good home inspector around the South Bay (Torrance/Gardena, etc) area in LA. I search around the forums but didn't see much from South Bay. Any help would do.

Find a home inspector at www.creia.org.

California does not license home inspectors so find one that is CREIA certified (must get 30 hours or more of continuing education). Narrow down your choices by viewing a sample report. Does he/she have a construction background? How many properties has he/she inspected? Is the report narrative or a checklist? Insured? Errors & Ommission insurance may be as a high as a million $$$ or not at all.

If you get quotes for $425.00, 455.00 and 199.00, toss the $199.00 quote in the shredder.
