Why is my house listed as a forclosure?

We closed on our house in December, but I still check in from time to time to see whats going on sales wise in the neigborhood.

Today I noticed that our house just popped up as a forclosure on redfin. It was previously showing as sold.

I don't think I should be concerned. However, I am curious as to why "OCWEN LN SERVICING LLC" thinks it owns my house.

redfin's Ventura MLS feed is unreliable. The same thing happened to a property I bought last year. In a few weeks, it went back to 'sold'.

Another property I was watching did sell and the new owners are already in. Then it went back to 'Pending' with all the old info. I expect it will show 'sold' again soon.

Re: Why is my house listed as a forclosure?

I've seen several instances where a home was sold as a short sale, yet still shows up as a foreclosed home. Most likely one department didn't talk to the other at the bank and it will get sorted out. But If it were me, I would get in touch with the title / escrow company that handled your deal to see if there is an appropriate party you can contact to ensure the bank updates their records properly. It may take supplying them with the short sale approval letter and perhaps your closing statement.

Best of luck and have a great day,

Thanks. I think I'll just wait and see for now.

We have all of the documents that we should, so I'm not worried. It's just odd.
