Hi again everyone

We are in the process of buying a property in LA county

we are interested in potentially buying the adjacent acreage as well

We would like to contact the owner to see if they would be interested in selling

What is the easiest way to do this?

the Neighbours don't have any contact info

I have the parcel number

I know that you can get access to th LA County DB for 268$ or so for monthly access

Is there a cheaper way to do this?

If I went to the local LA county land office, would they be able to provide the info?

get a prelim title report or record owner report from a title company

propertyshark.com is great, but they have started to limit the amount of data they give you for free with a simple registration.  You should be able to find the name of the property owner, but the owner's address or phone number may be harder.  Use 411 at this point.  I know all this from finding my own property this way and buying it directly from the owner.  Good Luck.

I forgot to add, that you can also just go down to the County office and get the info for free as it is public record.  Again use 411 if no phone is available.

...you can go to the city and pull the title information.  it is public information.  The County Assessor's office would probably be your best bet.  A lot of the information is online as well, maybe through the MLS....you can also try asking your Agent to see if they can fish for anything on title sites or the MLS.

also look up the address on blockshopper, it usually tells you the surrounding addresses and ownership.

Ask a real estate agent . they have access to ownership information.
