Not bang up to date, but a broad mix of views from economists to academics on all the issues from MID, Prop 13, the shadow inventory, and home price forecasts. I believe the NAR was not invited, so views on the whole balanced.

I'm bumping this because, the series of videos on Zillow answers, or at least discusses many of the issues raised on this forum. With the exception of FHA's CEO (?), congratulating herself on propping up house prices, there is no cheerleading, or "now is a great time to buy" hype. There are frank discussions by knowledgeable people, and kudos to ZIllow's CEO for pushing for transparency. I've never been a great fan of Zillow (Redfin is better IMO), but the philosophies are similar. The first video is a little economic with the truth, but I'm happy to give them commercial license here. It's interesting to see so many issues that used to draw in the debaters are still alive and well. Well worth viewing if you are interested in the recent (last few years) RE market.
