When does Google Map up date the imaging software for the most recent photos on Properties ?

Thinking the first of the year, not seen any changes.

Well, I've owned my home for 2-1/2 years and when I put my address into Google, or any other search engine for that matter, the same view comes up - and that view is obviously from when the previous owners lived here cause that isn't my car in the driveway or my neighbors cars on the street.

The picture that redfin uses was updated earlier this year. Which is the most current out of Google, Microsoft, Bing, & Yahoo.

I don't know why the Redfin pic which is labeled 'Google' isn't the same one as on the Google page. The Google pic is actually the oldest of the bunch.

My understanding is that Google updates about once a year but not on a specific day and not for every map at the same time.  They have to get the satalite feeds and then do some magic so it displays correctly.  The others work in a similar way.

The actual maps outside of satalite usually come from TeleAtlas.  

Both satalite and street maps cost money for Google, Bing, Yahoo and others to use.  TeleAtlas has in their contracts with navigation device companies that they get paid for every version that a customer gets which is why its rare for a free map upgrade.

my brother built a house 8 yrs ago in Europe and still it shows up as a field

I just looked again and my house still shows up the same way it always has, at least in the street view, which is obviously years old.
