Lost Information

A listing, with its complete history has disappeared from Redfin and thus from the MLS I guess.  I had it in my favorites because I was tracking it's activty.  I've seen it in person.  But now, there is absolutely nothing.  No sales history, nothing.

I can still find old listing info on other RE websites although one says the listing was removed today.

Is this possible?  Is there a way to make all information disappear like that?

For reference, the address is 104 Chartmaster Place, Vallejo.  The MLS id was 2113396, although I sometimes see it shown as  21130396 so there might be some confusion with another listing.

Re: Lost Information

A quick google search found this:

http://www.redfin.com/CA/Vallejo/104-Chartmaster-Pl-94591/home/2329764

Looks like it went pending Feb 1.

Re: Lost Information

Thanks.

Interesting.

Yesterday afternoon and early evening, before I posted that inquiry here, my searches within Redfin and others I'd done  online with search engines (although I may have used Yahoo rather than Google) using the address yielded no such results.  In fact, nothing came up within Redfin or from outside of Redfin pointing back in.  By "nothing", I mean no history or information of any kind.  It's like the house no longer existed.

I did however, find older listing information from some of the other, real estate websites.

Even with the "pending" notation now, and it's return to the Redfin database, it is still absent from my favorites list where I saved it to track and it shows as a "sold" property with the blue icon at the top left corner from two sales ago (it was foreclosed late last year but the sale information at the top is from its 2005 sale.  That is in conflict with it's pending status under the property history.   Of course, the discrepancy in MLS listing numbers between listings I mentioned may have merited a correction or data issue.

Something is weird about the data presentation for this listing.

Perhaps Redfin technical support will weigh in here.  If I remember correctly from previous information provided, they update from the MLS once a day.  Maybe on the day of the change from an active listing to a pending listing, it is up for review at the MLS or there is some black out or something, that holds the update off of Redfin until the next attempt.

Re: Lost Information

Replying to my own post I'll add.....

Maybe thi is SOP when on the day a listing goes pending.  I was looking at another listing just this morning that we might be interested in.  Just now, at 16:30, I returned to get a list of addresses that we can look at tomorrow when we're in the area and that very listing that I was reviewing this morning now has the blue, last sale information from 1994 on the Redfin detailed listing.

Why?  Because it went pending just today.

My conclusion is that on the day that the MLS detals add the pending information, Redfin ends up with it showing as "sold" at whatever the last official sale date was PLUS notates "pending" on the lead photo.

Non of which explains why, in the case of the Vallejo example I cited yesterday, the "sold" information was from the last regular sale and not the more recent bank auction sale.

It can all seem so confusing. :smileyhappy:

Post your bookmark - maybe the address had a different ID before it went pending?

Re: Lost Information

Sadly this is a problem, i have always seen some pending listings vanish , this is a technical issue.
