Buyer was in process of buying prior to it being listed. You can buy homes which never ever make it the MLS you know.

These are called pocket listings.  One reason could be that the listing agent had the buyer ready for purchase and needed to put it on the MLS to make his listing agreement official.  Another reason could be that the sellers did not want it on the MLS for personal reasons until a buyer has been procured.
