There is this house that got 62 offers! 62! I offered $50k more than the listing and lost!
Last year, there was another house in same neighborhood that was 20% bigger, much better layout that was sold for a little more than what I offrer for THIS house.
OK, enough backstory, here is the house we are talking about - http://www.redfin.com/CA/Sunnyvale/882-Pecan-Ct-94
So, the last year house was 20% bigger, much better layout and renovated, and was 25% cheaper.
Tell me again why there is no bubble.

Man, I'm glad I don't need to buy a house on the Penninsula. What poor value for money. Still, would be nice to be a seller there.

Keyword is Homeside high school, court lot and big lot as they can build a bigger home latter.
Did you look at Toll Brothers?

That house is really nothing special, I'd say quite unattractive house, I wonder why 62 offers all the sudden?

Do they really have paneling, circa 1970, in the third picture?

I've never heard of "Homeside"... is that like "Homeslice?" Homestead is not that great... generally considered the dog of the Cupertino highschools.

The price sounds about right. The lot is big. You can easily add more square footage to the house and jack up its value.
There is no point looking back. We are not in Kansas no more. I think 2013 will see a huge price rise.

LOL - I think Homestead High. It's quite rare to have lot of that size in Sunnyvale.
