I am looking at homes in this price range. I have found quite a few but every offer I have submitted comes back "highest best" and the home value (appraisal) is less than the asking price. I have been out bided on a couple of homes and I submit the asking price. I follow the home and all of them I have been out bided on are back on the market. I am assuming that when the go "highest best" bids go up but they can't close because their bids are higher than the house is worth. Very frustrating. I have a guaranteed loan approval for 85,300. Still looking for home where the seller is serious about selling and not trying to get more for a home than its worth and know no lender will close on a home priced above its value. If we are trying to stabilize neighborhoods and eliminate foreclosure properties that are bringing surrounding home values down, than let us purchase!!
