Conservation Land in MA

In 1973 The Commonwealth of Massachusetts passed a law that anything built within a 100ft buffer zone from wetlands needs permission from the town/city to build. I current; helped out my team leads client because he asked for additional information about conservation regulations in Chelmsford, MA. In Chelmsford since 1991 they added a law that you cannot build or destroy any sort of vegetation within a 50ft buffer zone from any kind of wetlands, and the city will just deny you permits. If you break this code, this would trigger jurisdiction.

I posted this forum to expand knowledge of any sort of restrictions in others cities and towns across the State dealing with conservation land, setbacks, building codes, etc.. If your familiar with Chelmsford, it would be great for you to provide more insight that I didn't include as well.

Andover & North Andover, MA Conservation rights: Any construction or alteration of land within 100 feet of any wetland resource area requires public review and a permit from the Conservation Commission. . Construction within 200ft of streams, rivers, and lakes require public review and perimission as well.
