Does this property have a county approved septic - it is very expensive to upgrade/update - 30K in this area.  Garage converted ? does this mean no garage left for car storeage ? county approved conversion ?  taxes seen kinda high - I believe this is also in a high crime area ? meth labs & users - what can you tell me about this - just north of this also surrounding areas highly congested - water table poluted ?  Thanks

Uh, if you think this place is such a meth-ridden hell hole, why are you even asking about it?

Please read my questions - I do not know whether it is a meth-hell hole ?

Is it ?

I do not live there and would like to know - yes I have driven through this community several times but still cannot grasp how it would be living there - I have been told by others who have summer places there that there maybe a BIG problem there - that's why I am asking !

Kudos!

Run this by me again - this is not a hell hole ?  Please check with local authorities and then respond with correct information

Uh, what's all this ?

Check with local realtor

- Do not rely on responses from this forum - they are just making stuff up to make themselves FEEL better

I'm starting to think you're a tweaker, myself, Beagle--and your sock puppet "Newbie".

As an aside, I love how there's a certain type of forum user here that expects everyone to answer any and all of the most inane or esoteric questions they may have--as if they cannot or will not do any of the investigative work themselves.  Public schools sure are doing a fantastic job these days.

Uh, what's all the fuss about ?

I checked with a realtor friend of mine on the peninsula and he told me two main groups will bidding on it.  One investment group of retirees from across the bridge in Astoria that buy foreclosures and then fix them up and the other group - a conglomerate of realtors on the peninsula that bid to keep the prices up (if successful) they will marked it up and relist it, otherwise - not successful bidder (quote) "at least we kept the prices up in this area".

Kudos!

Update - I checked this property just the other day.

1. Pictures on internet DO NOT show current status of this property.  Front yard is a mess with plants removed, unfilled & dirty plastic pond, fishing floats & netting gone, missing guard rails on front driveway, etc.

2. I noticed in one of the internet photos shows back yard with something in ground.  Well, I found out by actually going there and looking - LARGE tree roots running under house foundation and into septic system.  Yes, tree is hanging over house - large, will require professional removal.

3.  County records are wrong - no 1500sq shop; just a 150 sq shed attached to side of converted garage (wood stove lying on ground with chimney pipe still on it - ripped off; old dishwasher next to this)

4. Broken window on south side of house; Large wooden fence on south side of property put up by neighbor to hide is LARGE motorhome plus camping spot & stuff

5. Chicken wire door between kitchen and garage conversion with refrigerator hole poorly added into garage; also property is facing a VERY busy street with deck out front ! ; Front door not functional - entry is through back door.  Realtor tells me these are all cosmetic - well, a new wood stove & chimney are not cosmetic; new septic system in an area where 30K mound style are the order of the day with 200 yearly inspections - This county, Pacific is very touchy when it comes to septics - well, I guess they are somewhat right - water well is less than 100 ft from septic on this property - I did not see any community water system here - just well in front driveway covered by nice fiberglass cover - very small holding tank - less than 5 gallon which I have never seen before - I thought 15 gallon was small - anyway.

I thought I would mention these things for folks who cannot physically view this property in person - It's not all bad, but there are alot of negatives here that the internet info does not show - I believe that if I bring these things out, someone in the future will do the same for me on otther properties in the future.  Thanks

Kudos!
