We just fell in love with one property built in 1978, SFH. We made a very good offer and the seller was pleased. This Sunday we decided to recheck the property just ourselves without our agents. We noticed one side of the gargage front wall is cockeyed. Then we noticed it seemed a big crack in the wall, but covered by the stucco and paint. Because the texture of these materials is slightly different from the rest area of the wall. So if pay attention to it, it is noticeable.

We took the pictures and post to a Civil Engieering BBS. One said it was "In-plane bending crack of shear wall due to seismic forces".

Anybody knows about it? Can you give us any advice? Is this serious problem? Should we directly walk away?

Kudos!
