Is it a bad  to follow up on offers that I had submitted through my realtor. It just seems my agent is so busy. I was just wondering if it was an acceptalbe practice to contact the listing agent directly.

If your agent is too busy to work for you to get a home perhaps its time for a new agent.  An agent should be following up with the listing agents.   If you are going to do the buyers agents work you  might as well start using the listing agent to write your offers.

good advice. I contemplated getting a different agent, but maybe I'll just contact the listing agents directly

Your Buyer's Agent should most definitely follow up on your offers.  That's their job!  And I'd be hesitant to adopt the strategy of always using the Listing Agent selling a property you're interested in.  You want someone to look out for YOUR best interests and not that of the Seller's.  There are many agents out there who do dual agency, but it makes so much more sense to have a good Buyer's Agent (and persistent) who place yours best interests above all else.
Kudos!
