Hi Red, I'm with you on Pasadena -- too much traffic to get there. By the way, there's a lovely house on Curson, just up the street from me, that dropped from something like $1,250K to $899K recently. It's a gorgeous house and a good size. It looks very well kept and the yards look great. I guess they need to unload quickly. I don't know if that's in your price range, but it's a very nice house. Who knows how low they might go. It puts the foreclosure a few doors up the street to shame -- that's selling for $874K and was a real flipper botch job. Cheap everything. If you compare it to the other house, this one should sell for $700K. Should, but probably won't. Then again, you never know. They are both 4 bedroom houses. Alice

Sounds like you all want an event outside Pasadena! Ok, we'll get on it. But for those of you who can get there, tonight's event in Pasadena is going on now until 8 pm. The slides will be on Sweet Digs LA tomorrow.
Next Wednesday, July 23rd, we have an event in Huntington Beach, for you OC readers.
You can always find out schedule of upcoming events here.
Make sure you RSVP, because we've been getting full!

Hi Red, I've lived on Curson for almost 4 years and I don't think anyone has lived in the foreclosure in all that time. It was flipped, renovated, flipped again, and then flopped. Nordine put it on the market for $919K a few months ago and then dropped it to $874K or thereabouts. It's got decent bones but what a cheap looking renovation! And I still can't wrap my brain around the two front doors. I saw the Nordine agent out there when they finally priced it. I didn't get inside at the time, but I told him I'd give him $700K for it. Considering what they've done to it, I think it's a fair price. And I have a feeling the addition doesn't look too good either and doesn't blend in with the period. Two guys who own homes in the neighborhood were also walking by and stopped to chat with the agent, too. They were asking what they were pricing the house at and he told them $919K. They asked him to make sure the price didn't drop so it wouldn't bring the value of their property down, and he assured them the price wouldn't go below that number. Well, guess what -- it did, and it will continue to move downward, unless the bank wants to carry it on their books indefinitely. We'll just all sit nicely and patiently. Alice
