We own a 2 bed 1 and 1/2 bath condo in Quincy and need more space for our growing 2 year old.  We're not under water in our current place by any means, but it isn't appreciating and probably won't do so agan for a long, long time...if at all.  Our mortgage payment might as well be a rent payment because we'll never see it return.

We need to sell in order to purchase a house and we'll need to get every penny we can from that sale to make the house purchase happen.  Should we wait until the spring to put our place on the market?  I'm concerned that if we put it on now and it sits for any portion of time through the winter that prospective buyers will shy away unless we drop the price come spring time.  (Assuming the market will slow down in the winter)

Anyone have any condo sales experience recently??

Thanks!

Kudos!

Wait until the spring. Houses get most of their activity in the first week of listing.

"there"..".activity.".. should be spelled "their", as it is a possessive adjective ...(not adverb...!)

I'm no expert but just want to point out that the extended Homebuyer's incentive ends by April next year (under contract by then and close by June).   Don't wait too long or you'll miss the time when more people would be looing to buy to take advantage of the credit.
