Has anyone ran into lenders refusing to approve conventional loans until the home is fixed? I am in contract and have 25% down but the lender refuses to loan unless the bank fixes miscellaneous items all of which are cosmetic and one permit issue. When speaking to the listing agent it was confirmed that most lenders as of late will no longer loan until this issues are fixed. I was told to just draft a statement as to what the lender required that would be submitted to the REO bank. Also home appraised for more then the selling price even with the issues.
