Ideally an installer within the city, on the fully-approved workforce development list for a maximum city rebate.

I would like to know if you've had an install and if you are happy with the results and if you are getting a reasonable percentage (hopefully 80% or higher) of "advertised" power output.

Kudos!

My Solar system works great in the Redwood City area. In Sf watch out for the fog areas. If the clouds come over the panels the output drops 70%. Your roof should face south have no trees or other shade and be pitched 4/12. I'm close to the ideal and get about 94% efficiency, not including line loss, conversion loss. 80% net is the best you can get. My 5kw dc system, which nets 4kw ac(400sf of panels) cut my bill by 80%. If your electric bill is less than $1500/year it is probably not worth it. You need a high enough bill to be able to cut out the top tier rates .36 and .22/kwh. The base rate of .11/kwh will cost about $500/year. The extra solar panels to eliminate that aren't worth it. I used REC SOLAR
