Mass psychosis is what is going on. We have no manufacturing base, all we have is selling each other over priced homes. to that creepy realtor who attacked me, you are a joke to any thinking person. RMS - Here's a tip - go to www.blogspot.com and create an RE blog so you can espouse your hyperbole there and leave the Bay Area forum to, oh I don't know, a discussion about Bay Area RE as opposed to manipulated/selective statistics, bank conspiracy theories, anti-FHA rants and the like. That way you can run your blog as you like - banning commenters with competing views, putting only consenting opinions on your blog roll, etc. Here are some suggested titles: - Tilting at Windmills - Chicken Little - Sound and Fury Signifying Nothing The other advantage to a blog is that you might actually have the opportunity to be compensated (in the form of ad revenues) for the considerable time you spend writing online. And no, I'm not a realtor. Similar to you, I'm an RE bear who didn't buy high and I still think prices will go down some more. But I'm also an intelligent, rational person and your shrill tone and lack of substance (especially as of late) has a polarizing effect on this site that detracts from the overall civility and value of the forum.

Off-topic, I know, but is anyone else troubled by the fact that user "hellossss" was able to edit the post left by the user whose name runs afoul of the banned words list, and who isn't "hellossss"?

Yes, I find that derogatory name to be ugly. Like stepping in dog ____ someone put in my way. I think people who use derogatory names are suspect. If a person calls himself "nasty guy", he probably is.
